Silas the sleeper!! He loves to sleep with his arms out and up. He's so cute!!
We miss the boys so much!! Can't wait to see then tomorrow morning!

Saturday
Silas was 2 weeks yesterday, but I didn't get a picture until today. He looks a lot like my brother Sean in this photo, I think. (Which is what everyone said about Eli)

Friday
Heather sent me this photo of Eli at Aunt Karen's, roasting a marshmallow. I love that I can look at the photo and see how much fun he is having. Thanks Mom for entertaining and caring for our two crazy guys while I recover some more!

Thursday
Little Silas has been getting lots of one on one time with Ryan and I. The nurse asked if he ever woke up. Haha! He's a sleeper for sure!! (My favorite kind!)

Wednesday
Well...we have landed ourselves back into the hospital. Not sure what is going on, but they do know I was extremely dehydrated. The nurse almost fell over when she took my vitals, and said to me, "oh, sister...you are not going anywhere!"
Luckily, I'm on the mother/baby unit so Silas is with me. He is such an easy baby and sleeps from one feeding to the next.
I'm so thankful for such a supportive husband who doesn't leave my side.
Please pray they can find an answer soon.

Tuesday
Ryan went to the grocery after work and brought back these trains for the boys. Eli was very excited. I keep thinking he's going to get tired of trains any day, but he is still obsessed with them.
Monday
The boys love to play games, and "Break the Ice" is one of their favorites. Ryan stayed a little longer at home this morning since I wasn't feeling well, and helped entertain the boys.

Sunday
It was a gorgeous fall day today! After naps, we went on a short walk. It was our first family walk of 5. Silas loved the moby wrap and didn't make a peep. I'm so thankful for my 3 boys!
Saturday
We had a busy Saturday with lots of visitors! Aunt Julie arrived Friday for the weekend, Aunt Heather, Aunt Karen and girls, and Grammy came today. It was a fun day, and the girls were excited to finally meet Si.

Friday
Silas is 1 week old today! It is hard to believe that last Friday at this time I was recovering from delivery and holding this newborn in my arms. He is just the sweetest baby so far...I'm hoping it does not change! He is such a good sleeper! I am loving every minute!

Thursday
Poor Ryan doesn't get a lot of snuggle time with Silas as he is busy wrangling the boys when he gets home from work. After putting Eli and Miles to bed tonight, he was able to get a little time in with just Silas. I'm so thankful for the awesome father and husband that he is!
Wednesday
Silas continues to be such a good baby! I'm enjoying every minute, as I know things can change quickly. He is an awesome sleeper at night, which has been so nice this first week home when I'm still trying to catch up. I couldn't get him to sleep long in his crib the first couple of nights...even in the hospital, but he has been sleeping all night in his crib the last several nights. (All night meaning...doesn't make an appearance in our bed!)

Tuesday
Baby Silas had his first checkup today and is already back to his birth weight. The doctor was super impressed, and it appears he is following in his big brothers' footsteps already!
Mom and Miles went with me to help lifting the carseat, etc...so it was a busy morning. We had to pick Eli up at school after, so we didn't get home until later. Silas was a good baby and conked out on the way home. I could not wake the boy up for anything for his feeding. I undressed him and he could have cared less.

Monday
Eli is in love with Silas! He refers to him as "his baby." Eli just lights up when he gets to hold him and is very protective of him. Miles likes to hold him too...he is just a little rougher.

Sunday
Going home!!
After waiting half the day for Silas' circumcision, we finally were released from the hospital. I enjoyed the time with just Ryan and Silas, but was ready to get home to my other boys, and bed! Plus...I was tired of being woken up every 30 minutes or so for some reason.
Miles was awake when we came in and was very interested in Silas. He attempted to give him Papa's cell phone, and then wanted to touch him all over once we took Silas out of seat.
Eli was so excited when I met him at his door and told him his baby brother was here. He ran downstairs and hopped into Grammy's lap to admire Silas. After a little while he whispered to me if he could hold him, and after that, he didn't want to put him down. He is going to be a good big brother!!
Here is Silas in his going home outfit.

Saturday
Soaking in every minute I have with just Silas. I know it will be a whole new world when we return home tomorrow. Silas is so sweet!! I just love newborns! He's eating like a champ and sleeping great! Thanking God for this perfect blessing.

Thursday
Eli has been bringing home lots of artwork since starting pre-school last Thursday. He is always so excited when he comes out of the door for me to pick him up. It is the first thing he shows me, and always says, "I made this for you, Daddy, and Miles!"
I have to decide what I'm going to do with all of the artwork. Obviously, I'm not going to keep every single piece. I think I'll scan most of it, and make a book for him later.
I love how much fun he is having at school. Today I asked him what he learned, and he responded with, "Jesus is my best friend!" Makes my heart smile!

Wednesday
The boys can play so well at times, such as this morning. While I was putting in some laundry, I found the two of them playing with their trains...just talking away and laughing.
Tuesday
Eli had a great 2nd day of preschool. I'm so happy he has so much fun there!
I bought him this thermos for his lunch box, and he never puts it down. He calls it his "panger ranger" cup.

Monday
Miles brought his train pillow into the kitchen this morning and just laid down on the floor. I guess he was worn out from playing with Eli! He stayed like that for several minutes, and then ran off to his next mission.

Sunday
This photo cracks me up! The boys had a blast playing in the empty pool today. They must have played in there
for a good 45 min-1 hour. Miles doesn't like to get in the pool when it is filled with water...so he was enjoying playing in it for the first time this summer.
This photo makes me laugh because of Eli's face. About a month ago, he started soon this thing where he curls his lip up on one side. He actually has gotten better and is doing it less and less, but this is the first time I captured it on camera.

Saturday
We had a great day today! Mamaw came to visit this morning and for lunch, and then we went for a long walk. The weather was perfect!!
After lots of play time outside, the boys came in for a bath. They love to play in the tub together. I'm not sure we can fit 3 boys in there!!

Friday
I was trimming the boys' nails, and then Miles decided he could do it as well. For some reason, the nail clippers are just fascinating to both him and Eli. I thought this photo was too funny!

Thursday
Eli went to pre-school from 9-1 today. It was glorious!!! I had forgotten how easy one child was. Miles and I ran several errands this morning, and it was so nice to only have to get one child in and out of car!
Miles seemed to love having the house and me to himself. He never once asked where "I-lie" was. He had a blast at Target all by himself.
We will enjoy the quietness while we can, since we only have two weeks of just us on Tues and Thurs. :)

Wednesday
We went to the doctor this morning for my 38th week appointment, and then met Daddy for lunch. On the way home, I looked in the rear view mirror, and this is what I saw. Melt my heart!!

Tuesday
It's a big week in our house! Our little Eli starts pre-school!! I'm excited for
him to have the opportunity, as he loves to learn, and will at least get some sort of social interaction two times a week, rather than being at home with just me everyday. Plus, it is at our church, so it is Christian based, and I feel 100% comfortable with his teachers and school setting.
His first "official" day isn't until Thursday, but I knew it'd be crazy and rushed, so we took photos today. He went this morning to meet his teacher, classmates, and see his classroom. He didn't want to leave!
I'm a little sad to see him getting so
big, but thankful we still have 2 years until kindergarden! (not sure I can handle that!)

Monday
The boys love their Papa!! He's usually the first person they ask for when they wake up in the mornings at their house, or when we arrive at their house.
Ryan was going to read Eli his night time book, but Eli started sobbing asking for Papa. Papa, of course, obliged and this is how I found the two of them when I went upstairs to check how things were going.
Love these moments!

Sunday
It was the big UK vs UL football game today, and we went to watch the game with Ryan's family. We left Miles at home since it was his nap time, and there's no way he would "hang out" for 3 hours or so. He would have been all over that patio! Anyway, Eli had a fun time by himself and we snuck off for some ice cream, just the two of us. He picked a sprinkle cone with cookies and cream ice cream. It was delicious, and I enjoyed our little date!

Saturday
Eli loves to play with his cousins...especially Sophie Mae! They are almost always giggling and using their imaginations. I really do love the age of 3!
