Friday

The boys love their Daddy! As soon as they hear the garage door open at night, they start squealing with excitement, and run to the door to meet Ryan. After that, they cannot get enough play time in before bed!

One of their favorite things to do is jump all over him! When I looked into the playroom on this day, I found both boys with their construction vehicles, plowing daddy over.

Thursday

We've been keeping ourselves busy lately since I don't see myself going out much when the new baby arrives. It's hard enough to take a 3 year old and 20 month old to the store...let alone a newborn.

We ran to the grocery early so that I could grab some stuff for dinner. Eli asked to ride the horse, and since he wasn't strapped in to a stroller, I didn't have much of a choice. He giggled away as the horse slowly moved back and forth.

As soon as we came home we went swimming in the blow up pool out back. We were out for a few hours as we get the morning shade, and it was perfect out! Miles prefers to enjoy the snacks rather than actually swim, but he still had a blast!

Wednesday

I asked Eli to take a photo with me. This was apparently the best he could do. What a crazy kid!!

Tuesday

Eli asked if he could color this morning, which I was happy to oblige. He came in the kitchen with the crayon behind his ear and said, "I've got work to do!" He loves to pretend!!!

Monday

Our life with 3 kids!!

I had been dreading moving Eli's seat to the back, because he is not able to buckle or unbuckle himself in his seat. That meant that I was going to have to climb in and all the way back every time we went somewhere. I had poor Ryan move his seat to the back last night, but then looked at the owners manual for the van. I noticed that they had a carseat in the middle seat in second row, so I had Ryan try to fit all 3 of ours in the middle row. He was able to get them all in and tight! Yay! So much easier!!

Eli was excited when he hopped into the van and saw that he was sitting next to the baby. He told me he would take good care of him. I know he will!

Sunday

Eli was working hard this afternoon doing some building, and driving his digger. (imaginary, of course!) He had eaten some pudding before hand, so it looked like he really did have a mustache. Couldn't resist taking a photo!

Saturday

Another hot summer's day in Eli's world. He never gets tired of the expression.

Friday

The boys love to dance. Eli has some pretty funny dance moves, and has some major rhythm! They wanted to hold hands this morning while dancing.

Thursday

I can't believe that we only have a few weeks left with just these two little guys. Oh, how I love them. Their personalities are so different, but they do have their similarities.

I wonder what the next one will look like!

Wednesday

I went to the doctor today...starting my weekly visits. This was my first time taking boys as Ryan has been free of classes all summer, and so his schedule has been more flexible. I was a bit nervous to take both, but they did awesome. (it helped that we were in and out pretty fast, too!)

Eli walked in and jumped up in the chair, and grabbed a magazine. The women sitting around us were laughing so hard at him. He was actually looking at all the pages, and telling me what he saw. Miles wanted out so bad, but I kept him entertained with snacks.

Eli said some pretty funny things after I was called back. He was very interested to see what was going on.

Waiting to hear that cousin Winnie has arrived....so exciting!!

Tuesday

We had a play date at the park this morning, which the boys loved. (me too!) It was a new park with lots to do, so the boys never stopped. Miles thinks he is a big kid as well, and was attempting to climb up the high ladders and slides, which made me nervous and tired.

We all had a great time! The boys were worn out!!

Monday

Eli needed some new tennis shoes so we went looking for some while we were in Louisville with Mom. His current pair was a size 8, and I knew too small for him. I found a cute pair at Von Maur, but they didn't have his size. I went home and found them on Zappos...ordered them and received next day. I love that place! Free shipping both ways!

Eli was excited when the package came. I told him they were his new tennis shoes, and he automatically assumed one had to play tennis in them. He grabbed his racket, and asked me to join him. Too funny!!

He's now currently running around the house like he's in the Olympics. He gave himself the gold medal.

Even at 3 years old, there's nothing like a new pair of tennis shoes!!

Sunday

We headed back home today after naps. The weekends go so fast, and I so wish we lived by family, but 1.5 hours is better than 8! The boys were so good on the way home. We had to drop Ryan off at his office, so we grabbed a bite to eat beforehand. Eli was on his best behavior, which made the meal so much more enjoyable!

Saturday

Mamaw bought the boys these masks. They had fun wearing them, (although Miles didn't like his on for too long!) Eli loved his, and of course had his "panger ranger" moves to go along. I really do love being the mom of boys!

Friday

We had a fun morning of running errands with Grammy! The boys were so good! Our last stop was at Costco, and the boys had so much fun riding together in the cart. It does not take much to entertain these two!!

Thursday

This is a photo from yesterday, but I ha so many good ones, I had to use another. This was Eli's favorite exhibit. He loved playing with all the boats and locking them up. I love to see his little mind at work!

Wednesday

I bought a groupon back in early summer for the Explorium children's museum downtown. I had been waiting for Ryan to be able to come with us, but seeing that he is super busy with getting ready for the new semester, I didn't see that happening anytime soon. I knew if I didn't use it before baby boy arrives, I would never use it.

We headed down early this morning so that we were there right when they opened. The boys had so much fun! Eli did not know where to start. He ran from exhibit to exhibit, yelling with excitement. The water exhibit with the locks and dams, was his favorite. He could have just played there all day.

Tuesday

I took this after baths last night. The boys were sitting in their chairs, making each other laugh. Wish I would have had my real camera instead of my phone, but love the shot! I love to see their relationship develop!

Monday

Eli's famous pose and saying. He's been saying the same thing and doing the same action along with it, since last summer. It never gets old.

He plopped down onto the couch after his nap and said, "what a nice summers day, Mommy. All I need is a cool glass of lemonade!" haha

I stole this picture collage from Heather, who took all of the photos the other day at mom and dads. Eli loves to jump on the trampoline and has no fear. I love the one in the right corner of him looking right at the camera. He loves his cousins...especially Sophie Mae. They have a lot of fun together!

Eli was watching a show when Miles woke up from his nap today at Grammy's. Miles decided he wanted to watch as well, so he made a spot for
himself right next to big brother. They looked so cute!

Friday

What a fun day!!! I LOVE coming home for the weekend. Always people around and things to do. So much more fun than in boring Lex!

Heather, Ryan, and I took Ella out for her 8th birthday tonight. It has become a new tradition for Heather and I to take the girls out to wherever they pick. Ella chose to go to Red Robbin, followed by some ice cream at Orange Leaf. It was quite tasty!!

Happy Birthday to sweet Ella Clare! Can't believe everyone is getting so old!

Thursday

I painted a little something for above the baby's bed today. I'm not an artist in anyway, but the cars on his bedding were simple enough that I could duplicate. It turned out okay, but looks better than a blank wall.

Wednesday

Eli loves trains, so Miles loves trains. This evening, they were playing and playing with all their engines on the coffee table, having the most fun!

Tuesday

Miles is such a ham! He is a busy boy, but still very sweet, and always enjoying life. Miles does exactly what Eli does, and does not miss a beat!! He put on these goggles today and thought it was hilarious!

Monday

Miles loves to put on Eli's rain boots and walk around the house. I think they actually fit him better than they fit Eli, but it's free entertainment, and I'm all for that!

He gets so excited when I put them on, and just plays and plays. Today he was playing with this trains while waiting for the rain. :)

Sunday

Eli and Miles weren't too happy to leave Aunt Julie's. Their basement is like a toy store!

They took a spin in Zach's police car before we left. Eli would love to have one of his own!!

Saturday

We had a great day in Nashville! We spent about 4 hours at the pool this morning. Eli had so much fun riding in the raft, and jumping in/out of the baby pool. Miles was not a huge fan, which I figured, since he didn't like our little blow up pool. He did love the snacks though.

I came back home and put the boys down for a nap, while I ran to get my hair cut. They slept all afternoon ad we had to wake them up for dinner!

Julie made a great dinner, and then we left the boys for a pedicure and ice cream. So much fun!!

Friday

We drove to Nashville today to visit Julie and family. We were dreading a 4 hour drive with Miles, who usually cries/screams after 40 minutes, but he did great. He ended up sleeping for about 2 hours, which made the ride so nice. Let's hope he does the same on Sunday!!

When you come to Julie's, you can always count on dessert. Eli was in heaven!!

Thursday

I love this new "H" that I found on sale, thanks to Rhonda! I've been looking forever for a letter just like this, and my Dad spray painted it for me, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The red he had just so happened to be the exact red I had in my mind.

It looks great on the awesome shelves he made us!

Train table!!

We've been wanting to buy Eli a train table for a long time, but they are so expensive. One of the girls from my moms group posted she had one for sale, so I called her right away to say we'd take it!

The boys are loving it, and having so much fun!
